Useless trivia about me
1. I collect key chains. I try to buy one from every place I visit.
2. I’m 37 and still call my dad, daddy, and I always will. (It’s a southern thing.)
3. My mom is my best friend.
4. I have a scar on my right knee from when I was a kid and riding a bike with my big sister. She went right over a curb onto the sidewalk. I thought I’d be cool like sis. I wasn’t so cool.
5. I also have a scar down my right shin from when I was walking my sister’s boyfriend’s rottweiler, Justice. Actually, he walked me. Actually, he dragged me. And a section of skin, about 7 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide was scraped off my leg in the process. Oh stop cringing you baby.
6. I used to collect Barbie Dolls. I wasn’t one of those crazy people who have $300 dolls, although I probably would have if I could afford to throw money away. I just liked collecting them. But my Barbie collection has now been bestowed upon my daughter. The only dolls I kept for myself are my Marilyn Monroe Barbie (from my husband) and my Scarlet O’Hara Barbie (in the Red dress).
7. My paternal grandmother is an excellent painter. She can do phenomenal landscapes and portraits in oils.
8. My parents are still happily married after 39 years.
9. I love closed in places. I love to be alone, in quiet, darkened areas. However, this doesn’t happen very often with 2 kids. Which may be the reason for that love anyway.
10. I love artichokes. And broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, and almost all vegetables. Except beets and radishes. Bleeech.
11. I hate cows milk, but will drink chocolate milk… after all, it has chocolate in it and I’ve never turned down chocolate. I much prefer soy or rice milk.
12. I hate eggs too. I’d rather eat the chicken for breakfast. (I’m kinda a pain in the butt to cook breakfast for.)
13. Thirteen is my lucky number. I was born on the 13th of December, I turned 13 years old on a Friday the 13th, my next Friday the 13th birthday will be in the year 2013, and my zodiac sign is actually the old zodiac 13th sign known as Ophiuchus.
