Knitting on the Go
For the past couple days I’ve been looking for the perfect little knitting-on-the-go bag. Something like the Go-Knit Pouch, but cuter! I was eyeing the Lantern Moon pouches, and while some of them are hella-cute, none of them were exactly what I wanted. I wanted something like a cross between a Go-Knit pouch and Lantern Moon’s cute taffeta bags.
So I made one. Hee!
I found this gorgeous embroidered taffeta at Joann’s and picked out a fuchsia charmeuse fabric for the lining, which is a lot like satin, but prettier. The taffeta is hot though. Just a perfect fabric for what I wanted!
It’s the perfect size for a small project anywhere from a pair of socks to a scarf. It has two interior pockets (reinforced with interfacing), and a loop that I can snap onto my purse or belt loop and take it along into restaurants or anywhere I wanna do a little KIPing.
I also bought some black and silver floral brocade and a pale pink satin for the lining of that one. But that’s a job for another day…

Very cute! I can sew but only very basic – any chance you can share a tutorial on it?
OOOO i love your bag … very pretty and i love the inside pockets .. Can’t wait for your toe up tutorial on toe ups on 2 circular needles ..

Nice bag Silver. Looks simple, and nice, and high end, and very useful all at the same time. A perfect winner in my eyes. I wouldn’t mind a tutorial either, if u felt like it! I would be most appreciative.
Looks great! How crafty of you to make your own. Kudos to your skills.
Can’t wait to see if you are going to make these. I did send you an email. I bought one from ” Michael’s ” oops did I say that word. My daughter bought it for me. I do like it but yours is so much better. So hope you decide to make them.
Wow, what a great idea. I think that is *the* prettiest little knitting bag I have ever seen.
